Agenda
- 6:30 - Introductions
- 6:35-7:00 - Teacher contract negotiations, and March 2020 ballot measures. Update by Superintendent, plus discussion. Vote: Shall the PTA Council facilitate communications between the campaign organization and individual school PTAs, and publicly express provisional support for the three measures with the caveat that we will make a final yes/no endorsement decision only after the School Board decides the details of the three measures?
- 7:00-7:20 - Math Task Force: Update by Superintendent, plus discussion. (A longer discussion will be at our November meeting because the task force is still in planning mode. Background info is in the staff memo from the 10/2/19 School Board meeting, attached to this email)
- 7:20-7:55 - PTA Council priorities for the year: Discussion of September member survey (See file attached to this email, which was also distributed at our September meeting). Should we create subcommittees to work on each subject, or some of them?
- 7:55-8:00 - Resolution about lunch duration for the National PTA: Presentation by Deb Shell. Vote: Shall the PTA Council endorse the resolution? (See attached memo.) We will have a longer discussion of lunches at our Nov. 18 meeting.
